Final Alpha Flight Preview

Well folks, this is it -- our last Alpha Flight preview. It's been quite a ride, and I think I can speak for the whole creative team when I say THANK YOU for coming along with us on that great ride.

Here's a sneak peek at issue 8 (with two pages shown in pencils-only form and then colored*):

Will Kyle and Northstar reunite? Will Aurora get her body back? Can Vindicator be saved? Will the Master adopt Claire? Will Cody and the Unity Party be defeated? Will puck bounce? And what's with all the toes, eh?

Gorgeous, beautiful artwork - both pencils and in colour. Sad to see AF end, but if it ends this beautifully, well you gotta smile!

Love the look on Puck's face as he dodges the rocks. :D And the little touches like Mac's glove slipping down his arm, and the tatters of his uniform are just beautiful.
I can't wait to pick this up, and dread it at the same time as it's the last issue. :sigh:

Heh. I think you might have caught a mistake, rplass!! Oooor maybe he just grabbed the wrong costume at the cleaners'?

Good god, this is gonna be amazing!!!! Dale and Jesus's work is fantastic as usual! I'm def a fan for life! It's sad to see it end, but I wanna know what Dale will work on next so I can keep enjoying comics ;)

Or maybe he does own more than one costume! Tom Raney drew a similar costume on Northstar in Uncanny X-Men #379 and Chris Bachalo drew the same one in X-Men: Curse of the Mutants – Storm & Gambit #1 (with the starburst on the left side). Whilce Portacio drew a costume on Northstar in Uncanny X-Men #522 that had starbursts on both his right and left sides. So I guess the guy has more than one costume!

As long as Dale gets the pointy ears right, it's fine! There's no way Northstar has more than one set of ears.

Agreed wholeheartedly, rplass -- the round ear on the cover has been bugging me ever since they first showed it months ago!

Even crazier is that nobody noticed (not Dale, no-one at Marvel, and no fans either) until now! I think rplass deserves the first-ever Eagle-Eye Award! The prize: unlimited gloating. ;-)
